I have recently started taking part in crossfit and have been amazed with the results I am seeing.  Many athletes, athletics teams, fire departments, the armed forces along with CrossFit enthusiasts are rapidly realizing the advantages of sandbag workouts.  I like sandbags so much, I even got one for me to use at home.  This guide goes into that sandbag training is all about: powerliftingbelts.org

Amazingly, with sandbag exercise a rep is not as simple as it may seem and not really linear but seems to go up in stages. When you are lifting weights normally, the weight is centered and properly balanced.  But with a sandbag, this is not the case as the sand inside is constantly moving around.  It it takes force to actually be muscled-up, initiating the little stabilizing muscles in addition to the big muscles.
